Dr. Veronica
Fetal medicine and clinical genetics — reading pedigrees, sequencing genomes, and naming the genes that hadn't been named yet.
GRIPMER, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital New Delhi, India
Practicing since 2020
Vision
My vision in genetics is to reach people and make a meaningful difference in their lives. A genetic diagnosis can bring with it uncertainty, fear, and grief—not just for an individual, but for an entire family. I want to help ease that burden by bringing clarity to difficult questions, direction to uncertain paths, and hope where there may have been very little.
To identify disorders early. To treat what can be treated, manage what can be managed, and prevent what can be prevented. And to ensure that every person who could benefit from genetic care has the opportunity to receive it. Because genetics is not merely about finding a diagnosis. It is about transforming knowledge into action, and a diagnosis into a path forward. I aspire to dedicate my life to advancing awareness and access to genetic medicine, and to making India a more genomically literate country—where the power of genetics reaches every person who needs it.
